This policy explains what information the SnagTrack app (“SnagTrack”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have. SnagTrack helps you record property defects, track warranty and defects-liability periods, and generate reports. The data controller is Mohd Elfatih. For any privacy question or request, contact mohd.elfatih@icloud.com.
Information we collect
Account details. Your email address, and — if you use Apple or Google sign-in — the account identifier and email those services return. We never receive your Apple or Google password.
Property and defect records. Information you enter about your units, rooms, and issues: descriptions, categories, status, and notes.
Photos and videos. Images and video you capture or upload to document defects, including any before/after evidence.
Approximate location. If you allow it, the location of a unit, used to derive local climate context (e.g. heat and humidity) that improves defect analysis. You can decline this and still use the app.
Purchases. When you buy a subscription, a report, or an unlock, the app store (Apple or Google) processes the payment and we receive a purchase token and your subscription/entitlement status through our billing provider. We never receive your card or payment details.
Usage and diagnostic data. Basic counts needed to run the service, such as how many AI analyses you have used against your allowance, and error/crash information.
How we use your information
To provide the app: storing your records, photos, and reports, and syncing them to your account across your devices.
To run AI defect analysis on photos and video you submit for analysis.
To generate the PDF and report documents you request.
To process purchases and give you the features you have bought.
To secure your account, enforce fair-use limits, and diagnose problems.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content for advertising.
AI analysis of your photos and video
When you ask SnagTrack to analyse an image or video, that media is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to return a defect assessment to you. It is processed for that request and is not used to train third-party models. On-device analysis, where available, runs locally on your phone and does not leave it.
Service providers we share data with
Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage. Your account, records, and media are stored here.
Anthropic — processes images/video you submit for AI defect analysis.
RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase entitlements and subscription status. The payment itself is processed by Apple or Google; we and RevenueCat receive only a purchase token and status.
Apple and Google — process payments for in-app purchases, and verify your identity only if you choose their sign-in.
These providers act on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records and media in the app, and you can delete your entire account and its data from the app’s settings. You may also email mohd.elfatih@icloud.com and we will remove it, subject to any records we must retain by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at the email above. You can also withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your records is restricted to your authenticated account through row-level security. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
SnagTrack is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
